Our mission is simple:

No resident should have to go through a disaster alone. We will provide the grassroots, hands-on labor, and collective resource dissemination that we found many residents struggling with immediately after a disaster.

We’re just a group of people who want to help St. Petersburg, FL in preparation for disasters and, more importantly, show up and do what’s necessary after disaster strikes.

Born from Hurricanes Helene & Milton, Show Up Relief Alliance’s (SURA) purpose is two-armed: preparing St. Petersburg, FL residents for potential disasters & providing physical relief after disaster strikes.

SURA Preparedness Focuses:

  • Community Liaison Program

  • Volunteer Lists

  • Supply Management

  • Preparedness Resource Management

  • City and Community Partnerships & Collaborations.

SURA Relief Focuses:

  • Immediate Relief Work Within Homes (mucking out homes & more).

  • Facilitation of Resources; Both Emergency and Long-Term

  • Partnership with the City & Other Nonprofits to Maximize Relief Efforts.
